I like the concrete and masonry aspect of this project, durability and foresight is a good thing. The overall style is all right too. I am not a fan at all of the raised plaza. Such plazas typically sit unused by the tenants, as they are disconnected from the rest of the neighborhood. Additionally that plaza faces noisy Harvey Ave. Can you see those balloon ladies enjoying their cappuccinos with logging semis rolling by all the time? A much better design would be if the plaza was AT ground level, and opened to the rest of the neighborhood. Then it would be park like and actually increase the value of the entire community.

once again, it's an ugly sprawling complex that uses way too much land!

Just another boring set of apartment blocks with zero architecture on Kelowna's busiest street. Have we no design standards???

I'm sorry but while in general I am in support of development, these buildings are simply ugly. They look to me like something that would have been build in Moscow in the 1960s.
Surely for such a high visibility location we can have something that doesn't look like concrete hamster cages. Just my opinion...

WOW. What an inspiring piece of work. It's nice to see a rental unit complex being developed, but it looks as if it's developed for prisoners. Where do the kids play, where is the public space that is meaningful? The only space set aside for the residents is an area on top of a concrete parkade. I see the artist put some trees and grass up there to make it look pretty, fact is this is a poor design that does not take public space into consideration. There has to be a better concept for this type of project, green space and playgrounds are the key.
