My name is Cory Jay Tjosvold and I will be running in the upcoming civic election, as a candidate for City Council. I have a strong desire to help people communicate with City Hall and be a voice for their concerns.

My wife Kathy and I have been married for 11 years and have 3 children, Emily (9), Alexander (7) and Olivia (5). I’m a Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic, serving the city of Kelowna.

Kelowna is, as it has always been, an amazing place to live. It is the job of City Council to help keep it that way. My dream is for Kelowna to continue to be a city where my children will want to raise their children.

As Kelowna grows, we need to respect our environment and heritage while encouraging economic opportunities for all residents as well as living up to our social responsibilities.

There will be many candidate choices for voters this coming election. I offer a balance and a perspective that I feel would be of benefit to Council.
